Elis Regina – Elis (1972) is the tenth studio album by the legendary Brazilian singer Elis Regina, released in 1972 on the Philips label. It features a mix of MPB (Música Popular Brasileira) songs arranged by César Camargo Mariano and produced by Roberto Menescal.

The record includes several of Regina’s most memorable performances, such as “Bala com Bala,” “Nada Será Como Antes,” “Casa no Campo” and her iconic rendition of “Águas de Março” (Waters of March).

Critically, Elis is regarded as one of her classic albums, combining expressive vocals with strong songwriting from major Brazilian composers like João Bosco & Aldir Blanc, Milton Nascimento, Zé Rodrix, Ivan Lins and Antonio Carlos Jobim. It was also ranked among Brazil’s greatest albums by Rolling Stone Brasil.
